The Upstate Homeless Coalition has HUD certified Housing Counselors and holds Mortgage Assistance Workshops.
Most recently, there was a workshop in Anderson on February 7, 2012. Housing Counselors were present to talk about sources of financial assistance, and a representative from SC Legal Services was there to talk through the foreclosure process and provide important timeline issues for homeowners. Twelve people in the Anderson Area were able to take advantage of this workshop, and there are future opportunities for more to participate.
The link to the calendar of workshops is below. This is just one way your gifts help us provide prevention services to the Clemson and Anderson areas. This program helps people avoid becoming homeless in the first place, which is a vital step to eliminating homelessness.
